Mark Buddy is an AI-powered Math practice platform for Grade 4–8 families. Students can work online or on printed papers, including handwritten responses. Mark Buddy marks their work, identifies gaps, and recommends what to practice next.

What subjects and levels are covered?expand_more

Mark Buddy currently focuses on Grade 4–8 Mathematics. Families can choose goals for NYSED-aligned competency, SHSAT preparation, or SHSAT difficulty and beyond.

The Learning Experience

How does the AI marking work?expand_more

Students complete quizzes on their device or on printed worksheets. Our system can read handwritten work and evaluate it against the stored answer key and marking guidance.

Is the AI marking accurate?expand_more

AI marking is designed to recognize equivalent solutions, but parents can always review the detected answer, marking notes, and score—and adjust a mark when needed.

Where do the questions come from?expand_more

Our US pool combines released SHSAT and NYSED-style material with carefully mapped Singapore Math questions. Only visible, reviewed questions are eligible for student practice.

How difficult are the questions?expand_more

Difficulty runs from foundational practice through SHSAT level and beyond. SHSAT material is treated as approximately Level 3; higher levels draw more heavily from challenging Singapore Math questions.

Can my child practice specific weak topics?expand_more

Definitely. Our “Focused Practice” feature allows you to generate a 10+ questions drill on any specific topic. Additionally, our system automatically tracks performance to help you identify which areas need more attention.

Technical & Troubleshooting

What if a question covers a topic my child hasn’t learned yet?expand_more

Schools may teach standards in different sequences. If a concept is unfamiliar, use the “Skip” function. The score adjusts automatically, and the review will show which topics were skipped.

I found a mistake in a question or answer. What should I do?expand_more

We strive for perfection, but if you spot an error, both parents and students can use the “Flag” button. Our team reviews every flagged item to make the necessary corrections.

Does my child need a specific device?expand_more

Any device with a web browser (phone, tablet, or laptop) works. While a tablet with a stylus offers the best experience for handwriting, using a finger on a smartphone works perfectly fine too.

How is my child’s data protected?expand_more

Privacy is our priority. Your child’s data is only accessible via your linked parent account. We never sell personal information to third parties.
